Have you noticed it’s not getting any cheaper to run paid ads online these days?
I mean there are millions of advertisers trampling over each other to get noticed on either Facebook or Google.
What’s a small business owner to do?
Well, there’s an axiom in advertising that says he (or she) who can spend the most to acquire a customer wins.
However, I would argue that today it’s more like he or she who can attract the most eyeballs wins.
You see this with influencers building up huge audiences and then selling almost whatever products and services they want to.
Compare that to starting with a product and trying to build and audience to sell it to.
Here’s the point: Visibility on social media is key to the survival and growth of your business today.
So, do you have to be wildly entertaining, like MrBeast or PewDiePie?
No!
Even they started out as unknowns.
As Woody Allen said, 80 percent of success is showing up.
So you show up on the media where your ideal customers, clients or patients are hanging out.
And you hang out with them.
Producing — not just consuming.
Then you follow what’s known in military strategy as an OODA Loop — OODA being an acronym for Observe, Orient, Decide, Act.
So, on the social channels, you create a bit of content…
Observe what happens.
Orient — notice what’s going on around you, where you fit in and where you could go next.
Decide – Come up with a game plan and then…
Act — As one of my mentors said, the biggest difference between an average income and financial freedom is implementation.
