A Wry Take on Gratitude

“I celebrated Thanksgiving in an old-fashioned way. I invited everyone in my neighborhood to my house, we had an enormous feast, and then I killed them and took their land.”    ~ Jon Stewart

This Thanksgiving, let’s count our blessings.  Here are five things we can all surely be thankful for:

1. Peyton Manning (Unless for some inconceivable reason you don’t happen to be a Broncos fan)

2. Staples Office Supply is now open for Black Friday on Thursday evening (I am not making this up)

3. “Tofurkey” will no longer be the “piece de resistance” on your Thanksgiving table (Unless you are terminally vegan)

4. Ownership of Google Glasses is now open to more than just an elite few.  This means we can very soon rest assured that, yes Big Brother is watching.

5. Your website didn’t cost $283,000,000.00.  And it works.

Unfortunately, trustworthy political leadership in Washington and prudent stewardship of our hard won tax dollars… eh, that’ll have to wait another year…

But hey, I’m hopeful they’ll need another website soon and maybe I’ll be the lucky developer.

I’m offering half off at all Staples Stores through Friday midnight, Eastern time.

Just $141,500,000.00.
