5 Ways to Convert Website Visitors

On Game Day, one of three things can happen when a quarterback throws the ball.  And two of them are bad:

  1. Incomplete
  2. Interception
  3. Pass Complete

Even with those odds, guys like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady manage to win games.  And championships.

When a visitor hits your web site, one of five things can happen.  And only one of them is bad.

Unfortunately however, for most website owners, the one bad thing is what happens most often.  By far.  For even just an average website equipped with the basics, here’s what a visitor can do (in decending order of goodness for the site owner):

  1. Call the phone number listed on the site
  2. Give you a way to contact them, typically an email address in exchange for a “Lead Magnet” such as a special report, free consultation, webinar registration, etc.
  3. Follow you or your company on social media
  4. Start seeing your banner ads via Google “Remarketing” after leaving your site
  5. Leave your site and promptly forget your site ever existed

How well is your site equipped to capture, nurture and convert a qualified visitor?

The checklist above will give you a pretty good idea of what needs to be in place to get full value from the traffic visiting your site.
